XLP Bypass Cyclone Dust Collector

XLP cyclone dust collector is a kind of high-efficiency dust collector with a bypass channel on the outside. XLP cyclone dust collector can make the gas containing more dust near the inner wall of the cylinder enter the lower side of the cyclone cylinder through the bypass, so as to reduce the chance of dust escaping from the exhaust outlet. It has a high dust removal efficiency, especially for dust greater than 5μm. It is used to remove denser non-fibrous and non-cohesive dust in industrial exhaust gas. It can effectively separate tobacco ash, talcum powder, quartz powder, limestone powder, slag cement, cement raw meal, etc.. XLP cyclone dust collector has the characteristics of simple structure, convenient operation, high temperature resistance, low resistance and high dust removal efficiency, and is suitable for gas purification in mining, metallurgy, refractory, coal, chemical, building materials and electric power,etc.. However, the cyclone dust collector is only suitable for collecting dust larger than 10μm, and the dust collection efficiency is about 60%-90% for particles smaller than 5μm. During the practical applications, the cyclone dust collectors are most commonly used as an initial stage collector or prefilter to lighten heavy dusts loads before being sent to a primary collector like a baghouse or cartridge collector.

Overview

Working Principle

After the dusty gas enters the cyclone from the inlet tangentially, it rotates along the wall of the cyclone from top to bottom (this air flow is called the outer vortex), and the outer vortex reaches the bottom of the cone and rotates upwards along the axis (this is called the inner vortex), and finally is discharged by the exhaust discharge pipe. The rotation direction of the internal and external vortex is the same, and when the rotation is moving, the smoke and dust particles move to the outer wall under the action of inertial centrifugal force, and finally the dust particles fall into the dust hopper along the wall surface of the device under the combined action of air flow and gravity. When the air flow rotates down from the top of the dust collector, the top pressure decreases, and a part of the air flow (upper vortex) will rotate upward along the outer wall with dust particles, and after reaching the top, it will rotate downward along the discharge pipe and be discharged from the pipe.

Classification

The inlet position of XLP bypass cyclone dust collector is lower than that of the general cyclone dust collector, so that there is enough space to form an upper vortex and a dust ring in the upper part of the XLP cyclone dust collector, which is led from the bypass separation chamber to the cone part, so that the secondary airflow that is harmful to the dust removal efficiency becomes an upper vortex airflow with dust accumulation; The bypass separation chamber is designed in a spiral shape to make the incoming dusty air flow tangentially into the cone, so as to avoid disturbing the air flow on the inner wall of the cone and prevent re-dusting.

(1) Classification according to the air outlet mode, the XLP bypass cyclone dust collector has two types, that is type X and type Y. Type X (horizontal air outlet, suction dust collector is located on the suction side of the fan and has a volute structure of outlet ), which is generally used for negative pressure operation; Type Y (upper air outlet, press-in dust collector is located on the press-in side of the fan), generally used for positive or negative pressure operation.

(2) According to the direction of rotation, it can be divided into two types, the right-hand S type and the left-hand N type, and the two types of dust collectors have four combined types (XN, XS, YN and YS types).

(3) Classification according to spiral bypass separation chamber. The XLP/A cyclone dust collector is semi-spiral and double-cone in shape; The XLP/B cyclone dust collector is full spiral with a smaller single cone angle and a longer cone. The test results show that under the same conditions, the efficiency of type A is higher than that of type B, and the resistance of type A is greater than that of type B, and the structure of type B is simpler and the mass is smaller than that of type A.
